KANGAROO ISLAND OATS

Kangaroo Island Oats

Steve and Jeremy are mates who were looking to start a business together.  They knew that sharing quality produce from one of the most magnificent places on earth, Kangaroo Island, was in their charter and so the oats were sown. Literally!  Their vision is to share a wholesome bowl of oats with the world.
Steve and Jeremy understand that life can be overwhelming and hectic and they offer a serene and nourishing moment, to bring a little piece of Kangaroo Island right to your table.

DID YOU KNOW THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PROCESS AN OAT?
____

Steel-cut oats are made when the whole groat is cut into several pieces. The result is a nuttier taste and chewy texture but a longer cooking time 10-20 mins.
Rolled oats are processed to prevent breaking or cracking, where the oat is first steamed before being rolled through and then flattened. The end result being a rolled oat – a slightly squashed, round textured oat.

Quick Oats are rolled flatter under heavier rollers, before being lightly toasted and cut finer than Rolled Oats. This means they cook faster and result in a creamy consistency.
