Grant Burge Filsell Shiraz 750ml

Dark chocolate, mocha, plum with caramel lift. Sweet spice and cacao nib. Although serious Shiraz black fruits show the layers are extended with earth and vanilla. The tannins are firm but fine, with a full weight and texture carrying liquorice, black spice and some juniper. Full with intense flavours, the wine carries through for an intensely long finish.

Critics Rating: Vintage 2019 - Shiraz sourced from the Filsell, Cameron Vale, Materne, Stansborough and Colin Burge vineyards, aged for 18 months in a mix of old and new French and American oak. Consistency and inherent drinking enjoyment has long been a trademark of the Burge wines. Here, there is flesh and sinew, fruits dark and black, layers of spice and tones of earth, deep spice and chocolate, with fine firm tannins and a dark savoury sheen on the finish.
